Yosemite River Trees

Getting up every morning at 4am just to be in the right spot pre-dawn was never so much fun.  Even though it was below freezing until the sun came up, even though my finger tips went numb in between sits in the car with the heater on – it is worth it every time.  This is from the valley floor along the Merced River about 2 miles down from the Lodge.  The water level was very low (November) so I was able to actually walk the riverbed itself dozens of feet from the actual banks.  With a thick coat of frost on every leaf and nothing moving, it seemed very surreal.
